Treasure Valley parks reopen under phase three of Idaho Rebound

Governor Little has announced that we are now in Phase 3 of Idaho Rebound, that means parks are now opening.

Families and friends are taking advantage of the reopening of Roaring Springs Water Park and Quinn's Pond.

“It’s awesome, I love paddleboarding and finally being outside after being stuck at home," said Cole Teffeteller, a park-goer at Quinn's Pond. "It’s definitely nice especially on these really hot days."

"I feel like it’s great everyone gets a chance to be out here," said Josh Barker, a park-goer at Quinn's Pond. "After being bottled up, we get to smile and enjoy each other, plus the weather is getting nicer."

Residents say implementing social distancing seems to be going smoothly as well.

“It’s good everyone can stay as far apart as they want, they are really good about how many people are in each pool," said Amanda Dillon, a park-goer at Roaring Springs. "It’s all up to you on how close and how far you want to be.”

According to the state, masks are recommended but not required to prevent the spread of the virus.

Social distancing of 6 feet is recommended by the state, but required by the city.
